South West WA Photography Micro Adventure

3 Day South West WA Photography Tour

Itinerary

Day 1 - Coastal “Cape to Cape” photo walk during the day, sunset at the epic Canal Rocks, followed by early evening astrophotography at Sugarloaf Rock. Weather permitting if conditions are conducive then we will attempt astrophotography.

Day 2 - Sunrise at Castle Rock, editing workshops and a trip to the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse during the day, sunset at Yallingup Beach, followed by astrophotography at Injidup Natural Spa.

Day 3 - Sunrise at Smiths Beach, a morning editing workshop with lunch at Busselton Jetty to finish.

What we will learn

• Master Composition
• Landscape Photography
• Seascape Photography (Long Exposure, Filter Use, Fast Exposure)
• Waterfall Photography
• Astrophotography
• Advanced Editing Techniques (i.e. Focus Stacking, Bracketing, Composite, Luminosity Masking, H.D.R. & Panorama Stitch)

What to bring

• DSLR or hybrid digital camera
• Wide angle lens 18-24 & 24-70 mm range.
• Tripod & Cable Release
• Dependable Portable External Drive
• Laptop and power supply
• Pre-installed Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop (free 30 day trial available)
• ND Variable Filter 10 stops
• Up to 20 kg luggage and appropriate clothing

Note: This tour requires a moderate level of fitness with around 10,000-20,000 steps a day (2-4hrs) and uneven surfaces
